The City of Raleigh’s seasonal loose leaf collection begins for some residents on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and you better be-leaf we have some tips to make the process smooth + rid your yard of unwanted leaves.

No more than two weeks before your assigned pickup date, make like a tree and leaf your piles in the area between the curb and sidewalk for pickup. Make sure your car, holiday decor, and other possible obstacles are away from the pile, and save the trash, branches, and pet waste for their appropriate bins.

If you don’t want to wait for your assigned pickup, the city suggests alternate leaf disposal tips, such as mulching the leaves with your lawn mower, backyard composting, or using the city’s biweekly curbside yard waste collection service.
