A foodie’s favorite time of the year is on the horizon. Triangle Restaurant Week kicks off Monday, Jan. 27 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 2. This annual foodie event is a prime time to explore new restaurants + treat your taste buds for a fraction of the price.

Each restaurant offers fixed pricing for two- to three-course meals for lunch and dinner — plus, reservations are not required to enjoy the deals.

City Editors Allie + Danyale are sharing a few Raleigh participants + dishes we have our eyes on.

Allie’s picks

Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing | Modern American
This spot is serving up three courses with choices galore like the prime rib sandwich and the upside down pear cake.

The Raleigh Times | American pub
Indulge your taste buds in a tomato jam and whipped feta crostini for a starter and Chef Greg’s Southern fried lobster tail for the main course.

Birdie’s Barroom & Kitchen | Modern American
Treat yourself to a $20 lunch or a $35 dinner filled with pasta of the moment and the carne asada tacos.

Danyale’s picks

Azitra | Indian
This spot is offering a three-course meal, and I’ve got my sights set on the Kesari Kebab to start, the Paunch Poran Seabadd for the main, and the Royale Duo for dessert featuring cashew-pistachio-saffron.

Estampa Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse | Brazilian
Get ready to fill up for $50 with perks in the form of a salad bar and 12 different cuts of beef, chicken, and pork. Plus, the cheesecake looks promising.

Lakeside Kitchen | Southern cuisine
There’s nothing like a Southern delicacy, but what I’m looking forward to most is the shrimp + grits accompanied with orange-soy agrodolce and rounded off with a pineapple financier as a sweet treat.
