With spring and summer on the horizon, it’s time to start enrolling your child in summer camp. These eight fun-filled camps + classes are so awesome, we wish we were young enough to join the fun.

Create 🎨

  • Arts Together, 322 Chapanoke Rd. | Arts Together + Longleaf School of the Arts are hosting summer programs leading children ages 3+ through artistic projects and activities.

Outdoors 🌳

  • Park Conservancy, 1071 Piedmont Ave. | There are several different camps that provide healthy + engaging activities for campers ages 5-10, with themes like pollinator exploration, an intro to fishing class, and ecosystem explorers.
  • Piedmont Wildlife Center, William B. Umstead Park, 88-1 Glenwood Ave. | Connecting people and nature — the Center is offering outdoor exploration camps for young nature lovers ages 7-12.

  • Triangle Ultimate, NC State University | Get the ultimate summer experience + develop physical and social skills through the game of Ultimate frisbee. Both beginner and advanced camp levels are available for ages 7-15.
  • My Gym, 8801 Lead Mine Rd. | My Gym provides noncompetitive gymnastics, arts and crafts + fitness games for kids ages 3-9. Each week has a different fun theme like “beach bash,” “Disney,” and “ninja training.”

Educational 📚

  • Spanish For Fun, 8000 Glenwood Ave. | Learn Spanish while participating in unique activities like STEM, theater shows, bubble parties, gardening + cooking for ages 18 months to 8-years-old.
  • Smile Camp, 6301 Hillsborough St. | Step up your STEM game with these programs available for grades 3-12. Smile Camp offers a variety of hands-on science camps like 3D design + printing, building your own computer, and ceramics.
