Stella’s, a new dive bar open on North West Street, offers a retro, community-focused vibe and local art. The menu features classic drinks and seasonal cocktails, along with non-alcoholic and THC options. In case you missed it, Pulitzer Prize-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens will host a new music festival in Durham called Biscuits & Banjos April 25-27. Musicians involved include Rissi Palmer and a Carolina Chocolate Drops reunion. (INDY Week)

Honeygirl Meadery is moving into a new 3,000 sqft facility at Durham’s American Tobacco Campus. Founded in 2014, the meadery will feature a tasting room, two bars, and an outdoor patio. The grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 16 will include samples and special dishes from James Beard Award-winning chef Ricky Moore from Saltbox. (The News & Observer)
