🔥 Smoky Hollow additions are revving up

Positioned along the northwest edge of downtown Raleigh is Smoky Hollow, a mixed-use urban development with office, apartment, retail, and restaurant spaces. Now that the space has taken shape and new tenants have been announced, it’s time to check in.
Now open
In spring 2020, the first phase of the project opened with Peace Raleigh Apartments. Additionally, The Line, a second and smaller housing complex with 283 apartments is open.
Smoky Hollow offers two office spaces: 421 N. Harrington St., a 225,000 sqft office space.
Dose Yoga + Smoothie Bar — Smoky Hollow’s first retail tenant — features 104º hot yoga classes, smoothies + adaptogen lattes.
Barrio Tacos + Tequila + Whiskey | A build-your-own tacos + creative cocktails spot is set to open its first Raleigh location in early 2025.
Hone-Sharpen | A multi-kitchen facility by Chef Cherisse aimed to bring foodies together with hands-on classes, experiences + events set to open in early 2025.

‘Tis the season of expansion. Giorgios Bakatsias is set to open Naos Hellenic Cuisine in Cary, taking over the former Ko.an space. Slated for later this year, the Greek-inspired restaurant will feature a menu by Kevin Draper + Alex Ricci, blending ancient Greek traditions with modern cuisine. (Axios Raleigh)

In the wake of Hurricane Milton damaging Tropicana Field, the Tampa Bay Rays may temporarily relocate to Durham, home of their Triple-A affiliate, while repairs are made. Raleigh Parks is hosting “Letters to Santa” at select community centers this holiday season. Families can use provided templates to write letters, and can drop them off between Nov. 25 and Dec. 17. Santa’s reply letters can be picked up starting Dec. 18 — registration is not required to participate.

La Farm Bakery, known for its artisan French pastries, plans to open a new location in downtown Apex, transforming a vacant former bank into a café and retail shop. The Apex Town Council has approved rezoning, and further plans are pending. (The News & Observer)

Alexa, play “Diamonds” by Rihanna. The Triangle’s brightest festival is nearly here and we couldn’t be more excited.
NC Chinese Lantern Festival returns for its ninth year at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Saturday, Nov. 16 and will run until Sunday, Jan. 12. Amassing hundreds of thousands of attendees each year, the self-guided walking tour displays 50+ large lantern displays and features nightly performances.
Sensory Friendly Night is scheduled for Dec. 3 and will feature lower music levels, decreased capacity, access to a quiet area + strobe lights will be discontinued for the evening.
The Twilight Experience will be on Mondays + Sundays and will allow crowds to see the lights come to life starting at sunset.
