Raleigh Neighborhood Exchange is commemorating its 20th anniversary by hosting a new, free event — Engage Raleigh Community + Neighborhood Expo — Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the McKimmon Center. The objectives of the event are to connect community members, local government, and organizations.

Attendees will learn how to further their involvement in the community and access valuable resources. Breakout sessions that center impact and connectivity will be led by keynote speakers including community leaders working in higher education, youth development, and representatives for the City of Raleigh.

A few speakers include:

  • Ajamu Dillahunt-Holloway an Assistant Professor of African American History and Public History at NC State.
  • Dan Bagley a Neighborhood Enrichment Administrator for the City of Raleigh.
  • Kori Hennessey the Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
