Hey Raleigh, Trevor here. 👋 I know that I’ve been a little stir crazy and missing the nights where I would meet up with friends and enjoy a quick bite + a drink or four at some of my favorite spots downtown. The Glenwood South Neighborhood Collaborative (GSNC) is also helping to bring my dream to fruition by launching their new logo and helping Glenwood businesses share that they are open.

You’ll start to see this symbol pop up across Glenwood South in business windows and street corners. The GSNC explained the thought process and meaning behind the logo by sharing, “The block letters form the shape of a series of streets, which Glenwood South really is — it’s not just Glenwood Ave. The direction denotes that people can explore and walk around the blocks that make up the district. The arrows on either end of the G and S signify the length of the district direction of north and south. The colors are vibrant to denote diversification and that all are welcome.”

Similar to the Count on Me NC logo in eatery windows (and tentatively to be in bars once they are reopened), seeing the window decal at a business will indicate that they are promoting Glenwood South + open and ready for visitors to shop, dine, and wine with them. If you are a business owner in Glenwood South and don’t have your window decal or poster, reach out to GSNCboard@gmail.com and they will set you up.
