Coming soon: NC’s first dog bakery

Raleigh pups, get excited. Dog bakery and ice cream shop Hause of Dogs is opening in Smoky Hollow later this summer with a new name and more event op-pup-tunities.

This could this be your doggo’s sweet treat.

Dog-focused treat shop Hause of Dogs will open in Smoky Hollow under a new name with the same owners on Saturday, Aug. 19. This doggy bakery, the first of its kind in NC, will serve treats and pooch-friendly ice cream options for your furry friends.

Formerly a franchise of Salty Paws, owner Amanda Moody said the change came for the store to be “more involved in the local dog community and have more creative freedom with events, paw-ties, and partnering with local businesses without being under strict franchise rules.” Read: Same experience, more events, different name.

Construction has continued without a hitch, and the grand opening is slated for mid-August. See you and your pups there.

While you’re in Smoky Hollow, check out the other businesses and restaurants, a giant mural, and more in the booming work-live-play district.
