Rockway is a new development near Dix Park and is home to The Row Apartments, BK Pilates, and now Benchwarmers. Also coming soon is Campo Taco Co., a vibrant + casual Mexican spot set to open later this year.

Through a partnership with the City of Raleigh, Raleigh City Farm is cultivating its second location at Marsh Creek Park. Raleigh City Farm has been growing healthy produce downtown since 2011, and this new urban farm will help expand the nonprofits impact + address local food insecurity.

Charleston + Greenville, South Carolina barbecue spot Lewis Barbecue will join Salvage Yard at Raleigh Iron Works for its very first NC location. The Carolina Mudcats might have left Five County Stadium in Zebulon for Wilson, but minor league baseball is coming back. Capitol Broadcasting Company will use up to $10 million to upgrade the stadium for an unnamed Coastal Plain League team starting in 2026. (WRAL)

Money previously earmarked for widening Six Forks will now be used to create a car + pedestrian bridge over 440 in Midtown. In an effort to increase walkability, the proposed bridge would connect Wake Towne Drive + Quail Hollow Drive. Next up: Finding an engineering firm. (Triangle Business Journal)
