Bites galore await at the elevated casual eatery. | Photo by RALtoday
North Hills has experienced a dynamic transformation over the past year, making it an exciting hub for both Raleighites and visitors. With new businesses opening and more on the horizon, the development continues to evolve, and we’re excited, to say the least.
Open
The development has added more residential and office spaces to its line up. Channel House, located in the North Hills Innovation District (NHID), features 200 units, ranging from studio to three bedroom apartments, and sits above vibrant retail spaces like Dose Yoga + Smoothie Bar.
Besides spaces made to live or work, there’s a bunch more to explore. If retail therapy is your jam, the options range from casual digs to formal fits. Retailers currently open include:
johnnie-O, Main District | Modern elevated clothing
Madewell, Main District | Casual clothing retailer
Pink Chicken, Main District | Children’s clothing store
How about some retail therapy?

Once you’re done shopping, or if you’re looking to grab a bite, the options are plentiful.
There’s still so much to look forward to in Raleigh’s Midtown district. North Hills will welcome two new restaurants in Main District; fast casual salad spot Sweetgreen opens tomorrow and health-inspired restaurant True Food Kitchen in November. Also coming to Main District in November are clothing + furniture retailers J.Crew, Lululemon, and RH.
Here’s what else to look forward to with food and retail:

👋 Welcome back
Nothing beats this view of WNC mountains. | Photo by @wncphototours
Western NC has faced a challenging journey to recovery since Hurricane Helene hit in late September, and communities across NC have banded together to support those affected. Tourism is a prominent part of WNC’s economy, and many areas have had to close to tourists during a busy season.
While many towns remain in recovery mode and are temporarily closed to guests, nearly a month later, multiple communities are beginning to welcome visitors back.
Over the weekend I didn’t feel like doing anything besides grabbing a good bite from from Torchy’s Tacos. I had the Trailer Park + Tipsy Chick paired with a grapefruit Jarritos to wash it all down.
