This week, Monday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 24, is Negroni Week at select Raleigh restaurants and celebrated across the world. This Italian bev-focused event also raises money for Slow Food, an organization that supports local food + traditional cooking.

Here are just a few stunning aperitif options around the City of Oaks.

The Willard Rooftop Lounge is offering a Lunchbox Negroni inspired by peanut butter and jelly, featuring PB-infused gin from Durham Distillery, Chambord, raspberry liqueur, and a peanut caramel garnish.

Il Falò at the Westin Hotel is serving up a Smoked Negroni complete with smokey gin and a charred orange peel for a fiery take on this cocktail.

Head to Peck and Plume at the Mayton in Cary for a classic Negroni, a Sbagliato, a Negroni made with prosecco instead of gin, and one with a grapefruit twist.
