NC State football is headed to the Pop-Tarts Bowl

With a sprinkle of good luck, Wolfpack football is going to the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando to square up against Kansas State. This game could cap a 10-win season for the Pack with a sweet surprise.

Talk about a sweet ending. NC State will head to Orlando on Dec. 28 for the Pop-Tarts Bowl against Kansas State as the icing on top for the 2023 season — tickets are available now.

NC State finished its regular season with a 9-3 record, meaning this game could be the Pack’s 10th win of 2023 — the Wolfpack hasn’t had a 10-win season since 2002 with an 11-3 record.

This is the inagural Pop-Tarts Bowl, but the bowl has gone by other names in the past, including the Cheez-It Bowl, Camping World Bowl, and more.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl will feature the first-ever edible mascot, according to a press release from Kellogg’s. The winning team gets to take a bite (or a few) of the sweet treat — head coach Dave Doeren said he wants to enjoy his potential piece with a bourbon chaser.
