Neighborhood work club Switchyards is coming to Raleigh, joining clubs in Durham and Charlotte. The 24/7 workspace features flexible space to get things done, unlimited coffee, and access to all other clubs in 15 cities across the nation.

“We want this to be an escape from your home, an escape from the office, an escape from the coffee shop in a super reliable, always-open, 10 out of 10 experience every time you come in,” Switchyards CEO Michael Tavani told RALtoday.

The Raleigh location, coming to 811 W. Hargett St. behind Trophy Pizza, is in a cozy 101-year-old brick building formerly home to a school book depository. Expect a social work area, a quiet deep focus section, two private clubrooms, and secluded phone booths that can be booked in advance. Plus, that unlimited coffee will be from Left Hook and Iris’s Promethium Coffee.

Memberships drop at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, and memberships are $129 per month — or $100 if you purchase an annual plan. Only 250 memberships will be available, and all clubs have sold out on drop day since 2025. Ready to learn more? Head to the website.
