Five Points, a neighborhood north of downtown, has been changing rapidly over the past year. Here’s what’s growing down in Five Points.

  • Anisette Sweet Shop held its last day of business June 27. The store is now closed after nearly seven years in Five Points.
  • Ajja opened its doors last week. Chef Cheetie Kumar’s new restaurant includes Mediterranean-inspired flavors like lamb seekh, kebab, and toor whip.
  • Little Oak Collective is a boutique children’s consignment store which opened this June.
  • The Rialto Theatre is set to reopen sometime this summer, according to new owner Hayes Permar.
  • Trophy Brewing will be expanding its production to Five Points. The new spot will open with a taproom and eventually a restaurant. Trophy will be joining plenty of other breweries in the neighborhood like R&D and Neuse River Brewing.

Bonus: The City of Raleigh is considering traffic changes to try and make the busy Five Points intersection safer.
