Ever heard a dancer say “merde?” It means “have a good show,” and Carolina Ballet has been doing just that here in Raleigh for 25 years. 🎂

Their upcoming silver anniversary season is full of exciting announcements, like live music for multiple performances, a revamped Nutcracker, and a new resident choreographer, Amy Hall Garner.

Now that we’re warmed up, let’s jeté into an overview of the 25th anniversary season:

“Jerome Robbins’ The Concert”

Dates: Sept. 22-25, 2022
Venue: Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
Look forward to: Chopin’s mesmerizing score played live from the stage by concert pianist William Wolfram

“Dracula”

Dates: Oct. 13-30, 2022
Venue: Fletcher Opera Theater
Look forward to: Getting into the spooky spirit during this annual favorite

“Beethoven: Symphony No. 9”

Dates: Nov. 17-20, 2022
Venue: Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
Look forward to: Seeing the product of choreographer Robert Weiss’ 36-year fascination with Beethoven’s masterpiece

“The Nutcracker”

Dates: Dec. 10-24, 2022
