The RALtoday team recently visited Brookfields Indoor Golf & Lounge, located at 1839 S. Main St. in Wake Forest (~30 minutes from Raleigh), to give golf simulators + interactive multisport gaming a try.

Brookfields has 3 simulator bays that can be booked for up to 6 individuals. We booked a 1-hour slot with a bay for $40. ProTip: Arrive a few minutes early to complete a waiver beforehand.

Owners, Anna and Sam, walked us through a quick demonstration on how the simulator works before we began. We started with golf but quickly transitioned into other games such as basketball shootout, soccer penalty kicks, zombie dodgeball, and hockey goalie challenge.

What we’re still talking about: You don’t need to have any prior golfing knowledge to have fun at Brookfields Indoor Golf & Lounge. The spot is great for golfers to practice their swing, as well as people who have never picked up a club before (aka: Editor Carly). They also provided us with all the necessary equipment.

Things to know if you go: The lounge also has a bar + offers a variety of drinks, including beer, wine + cider. Although they don’t have food on-site, they have a free popcorn machine and you are allowed to bring food in from nearby restaurants.
