This week is Small Business Week in the Triangle, so show your favorite locally-owned places some extra love.
Small businesses — they keep us fed, clothed, on trend, and entertained. Raleigh’s local restaurants, mom + pop shops, and startups are not only a big reason our city has been able to maintain its culture as the area continues to grow, but also are major contributors to the local economy.
According to census data , 83.5% of Wake County businesses are actually small businesses (20 or less employees). Those businesses employ ~80,000 people in the Triangle area alone. Talk about economic impact.
