Two beers from Raleigh Brewing
Cheers to good beers — find out what Untappd users say are the best in Raleigh. | Photo by RALtoday
Beer lovers, meet Untappd, a beer-tracking app where users can check in at breweries, rate and review beers, and explore bevs internationally. Whether you’re a beer devotee or just trying to find what you love, here are some of the most popular + highest rated brews currently found in Raleigh, according to Untappd users.

A tribute to the City of Oaks, Raleigh Brewing Company’s Belgian Golden Hell Yes Ma’am (3.75/5) packs a fruity, spicy, and warming punch. Careful — it’s easy to drink, even with 9.2% ABV

The 10% ABV Remix Double IPA (4/5) from R&D Brewing is a pineapple-y and slightly carbonated hoppy beer with a bronze medal from the 2019 U.S. Open Beer Championships.

Taking gold at Trophy Brewing is Cloud Surfer (3.94/5) a dry hopped IPA — try the Double Surfer for an even hoppier + fruitier flavor.

Hey RAL, it’s your fave newsletter team here — counting down the days until our golden years after a jaw-dropping tour of Altis at Serenity.

This brand-new 55+ community in Fuquay-Varina is like no neighborhood we’ve ever seen.

The homes look like they sprang straight from the pages of Architectural Digest, with designer finishes + thoughtful touches in every room we stepped in.

The setting? Equally gorgeous, nestled within nearly 220 acres of preserved natural spaces for a level of quiet and privacy you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else this close to the city.

And the amenities.

We could write a whole newsletter (and maybe will) on the endless activities and lifestyle perks, but a few of our faves include:

  • The 3+ miles of winding nature trails for staying active
  • A 3,700 sq ft reserveable community space with a catering kitchen
  • The fully equipped fitness center
  • The Jr. Olympic pool + splash zone
  • The dog park, playground, and hammock station
  • A dedicated onsite post office + community garden

Plus, Altis is about to open a private 55+ clubhouse in 2026 with even more amenities.

Take the same tour we did to see the spaces for yourself, or watch our Instagram reel before you go for an inside look at the homes.
See Altis like we did

The Wrap

From Allie

I’m sad I won’t be walking distance from my favorite coffee shop anymore, but I’m so excited for Left Hook’s next adventure in east Raleigh. The new Hargett Street location will take a little longer, but expect signature baby boy lattes at a new space on Hill Street shortly.
