British artist and designer Paul Cocksedge is bringing a new permanent sculpture to Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park at NCMA, and he’s inviting you to sit and stay awhile. “Please Be Seated” will be an interactive, site-specific artwork with a long, undulating bench located above the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr., Theater.
First shown in London in 2019 and now with a permanent version in Hong Kong, we can’t wait to experience it here in Raleigh.
Long-time Raleighites might remember Sunflower’s Café before it closed in 2019. Now, the beloved eatery is coming back, this time at Rockway, a new development that will also be home to Benchwarmers Bagels and BK Pilates near Dix Park. We can’t wait for tasty sandwiches, salads, and soups at this local fave.

Innovative eyewear brand Warby Parker opens this Saturday, Nov. 1 in Village District next to Tiff’s Treats and Cantina 18. Expect reasonably priced glasses and sunglasses, and this weekend, receive a free tote bag with any purchase. Plus, the store will offer eye exams in the near future.

When is the worst time to drive in Raleigh?
Traffic is at its worst between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays, except for Mondays. In the morning, 7-8 a.m. can also be dicey, except for Mondays and Fridays.
But the hands-down worst time to commute? 5 p.m. on a Thursday. 3.5% of Raleigh’s weekly delay happens around then.
