Raleigh is home to vintage, thrift, antique, and consignment stores galore. Here are a few of our favorite spots in the Triangle to revitalize your home and closet.
The Burrow | This new spot is the place for your next cool vintage tee, including over 100 NC State pieces. Plus, take a look through this store’s collection of knick-knacks and home goods.
NC Vintage Bazaar | With multiple can’t-miss events every year, NC Vintage Bazaar is the holy grail for vintage lovers. As NC’s biggest vintage clothing market, vendors from across the state + country come to town with their finds. The next event is Sept. 6 + 7 at the Fairgrounds.
Pallbearer | Specializing in high-end vintage clothing with plenty of character, this shop has quickly cemented its spot as one of Raleigh’s favorite vintage stores.
Union Camp Collective | Shop this store’s unique furnishings on Instagram or in person. At this eclectic store, you’ll find one-of-a-kind pieces to give your home that extra oomph.
Self Care Sound Bath | 6:30-7:30 p.m. | Cosmic Access, Cary | $36 | Zen out during this soothing indoor sound bath experience with singing bowls, gongs, and rainsticks.

Raleigh True Crime Tour | 8-9 p.m. | Norwood House | $15 | Oak City is brimming with tales of crime and intrigue — learn more about all things true crime in Raleigh.
Saturday, Aug. 23
The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes | 7 p.m. | Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts | $44+ | Westley himself will join this screening of “The Princess Bride” with a moderated discussion and Q+A after the film.
Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival | Saturday, Aug. 23 + Sunday, Aug. 24 | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. | Downtown Cary | Free | Wrap up the summer and explore the work of over 250 artists from across the nation, live music + performances, and a kids section.
Cary will be the next Triangle town to get a Mezcalito, an NC Tex-Mex chain with six locations from Beaufort to Goldsboro. It’ll take over the former On The Border restaurant space near Cary High School and Fenton. We’ll let you know when the giant marg towers are ready for you.(Triangle Business Journal)

The Canes released their theme night schedule, and it’s going to be a fun season. Choose from Margaritaville Night, Women in Sports Night, an Olympic send-off game, and two Stanley Cup 20th anniversary games. Allie here — last year’s Halloween Celebration game was the best thanks to fun fan costumes and spooky theming.
Shop
Two new stores are coming to Raleigh. Yesterday, The Athlete’s Foot opened near Crabtree with high-end running supplies from top brands. Next up, glasses retailer Warby Parker is coming to Village District next door to Tiff’s Treats and Bailey’s and will open this winter. (The News & Observer)
Transit
NCDOT is working on a study to potentially implement a bus rapid transit route on I-40 to get flyers to RDU faster + more efficiently. It’s still just a concept, but experts say BRT is emerging as Raleigh’s best mass transit option. (The News & Observer)

After 11 seasons, Raleighite John Wall announced his retirement from the NBA via Instagram. Playing for Garner High School + Word of God Christian Academy, Wall averaged 18.7 points per game as a pro. Maybe we’ll start seeing Wall back in his hometown.

Hartwell is hosting a cat adoption event, Karma is a Cat, this Saturday with gourmet popsicles, a pizza food truck, free face painting, and a raffle supporting Friends of Wake County Animal Center. Your feline bestie could be waiting.

Get ready to laugh with Kevin Smith when he comes to Raleigh in October. The legendary comedian and director is coming to Goodnights Comedy Club Oct. 24 + 25 — grab tickets before they sell out.

A new bagel spot will have you eating like Carrie Bradshaw without leaving the Triangle. New York’s H&H Bagels is coming to Chapel Hill’s University Place and will serve up the iconic kettle-boiled bagels by the end of 2025. (The News & Observer)
