The North Carolina Museum of Art is rolling out a brand-new Performing Arts and Film Series, bringing live music, dance, movies, and theater to creative spaces on and off its campus.
Inspired by the People’s Collection, the series lineup includes:
Pop-up concerts in the West Building
Commissioned dance performances with local universities
Outdoor movies in Moore Square (including “Wicked,” “Sonic 3,” and other family faves)
So much more
🏟️ Major amphitheater updates
The new series will temporarily replace the NCMA’s annual Summer Concert Series while the amphitheater in Museum Park is closed for major renovations.
Part of larger campus improvements running through 2027, these renovations are focused on accessibility and comfort, with new seating, refurbished bathrooms, redesigned pathways, and other quality-of-life updates.
Plans are sprouting over at Pleasant Valley Promenade. Sprouts Farmers Market, an Arizona-based grocery store, has signed a lease at the shopping mall to open a second location in Raleigh by 2027. Bonus: See other major developments slated for Pleasant Valley. (Triangle Business Journal)
Mansion Monday
We’re dreaming of this ~16-acre property by Falls Lake. With 5 bedrooms + 9 bathrooms, this home has it all — from a courtyard driveway that can act as a helipad (very James Bond if you ask us) to the pool and connected hot tub.
Coming Soon
Say you’re good graces because the highly anticipated market, bar, and eatery concept, Good Graces, is opening in August. Located in the North Hills Innovation District, you can expect a menu featuring Southern favorites, refreshing drinks + grab-and-go meals. Follow along on Instagram for the grand opening date.

AMC Stubs members can now enjoy 50% off movie tickets and concession deals on Tuesdays + Wednesdays in a new deal that replaces $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays. Save this for a rainy day, but while the skies are clear, take a drive to Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre for a star-lit screening. (Variety)

Reader Josh M. wrote in with a fun fact-check for the baseball fans out there: Giants catcher and former NC State athlete Patrick Bailey joined three others in MLB history — not two — to hit a walk-off, inside-the-park home run: Pat Moran (1907) and Bennie Tate (1926) round out the trio.
