The North Carolina Museum of Art is rolling out a brand-new Performing Arts and Film Series, bringing live music, dance, movies, and theater to creative spaces on and off its campus.

Inspired by the People’s Collection, the series lineup includes:

  • Pop-up concerts in the West Building
  • Commissioned dance performances with local universities
  • Outdoor movies in Moore Square (including Wicked, Sonic 3, and other family faves)
  • So much more

🏟️ Major amphitheater updates

The new series will temporarily replace The NCMA’s annual Summer Concert Series while the amphitheater in Museum Park is closed for major renovations.

Part of larger campus improvements running through 2027, these renovations are focused on accessibility and comfort, with new seating, refurbished bathrooms, redesigned pathways, and other quality-of-life updates.

While the outdoor venue gets a glow-up, the museum continues to reimagine ways audiences can experience visual and performing arts around Raleigh.
