Raleighites — is it just us, or is the summer heat on your mind too?

Through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect in our city for June, July, and August.

Although precise weather conditions cannot be predicted more than a week in advance, we can get close predictions. Here’s a seasonal overview to help you prepare for what summer has up its sleeve.

By the way, mark your calendar for the first day of summer on Friday, June 20.

Coming in hot. This summer, Raleigh has a 40-50% chance of temperatures being higher than normal.
