Winter Storm Blair is blasting parts of the Midwest and mid-Atlantic areas like Washington, DC, and Richmond, Virginia with freezing temps + snow, and Raleigh could be next. The last time Raleigh got a significant amount of snow was three years ago in January 2022.
As of Monday afternoon, The Weather Channel is predicting no snow for Raleigh early in the week, but precipitation over the weekend could become a blanket of snow. No winter weather warnings nor advisories have been issued for central NC, but some WNC towns like Boone are under an advisory.
According to our winter weather guide, Raleighites can expect an average high of 48° with a low of 32.9° this month, making January our coldest month of the year.
