🧺 Life’s a picnic

Local foods to pack for a picnic

Olive to see you smile at our picnic. If you’re planning a picnic in one of our picturesque parks, please peruse no further. We put together a list of items to help you pack the perfect local picnic.

Ambiance | Southern Picnics
This luxury picnic service does all the heavy lifting for you with seasonal decor, floral arrangements, and an event planner to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Bread | La Farm Bakery
What’s a local picnic without this French-style bakery’s La Farm bread and a white chocolate baguette (or two)?

Charcuterie | Raleigh Cheesy
Order a board fit for two to 20 people made with high quality meats, cheeses, and delicious accouterments.

A bitten croissant covered in seasonings and seeds sits on a table next to a light brown latte topped with foam in the shape of a leaf. A laptop computer sits to the right of the food and coffee.

An everything croissant + latte from Boulted Bread is true bliss.

Cheese | The Cheese Shop
OK, how about more cheese? This store’s selection of artisanal + farmstead cheeses are cut to order. Psst... we can’t wait for this spot’s new cheese bar.

Fruit | State Farmers Market
The best farmers from across the Tar Heel State + beyond assemble here just to bring you the freshest peaches, apples, tomatoes, and other in-season produce faves.

Pastries | Boulted Bread
Our favorite baked goods from this craft bakery include the morning buns, filled croissants, bialys, and pinwheels, which sound essential for a local picnic.

Snacks | 1in6 Snacks
This brand raises awareness for food insecurity and is behind local chips like Carolina Kettle and Pine State popcorn.

For more picnic-y vibes, check out our guide to a picture-perfect picnic.

If you read this list and thought, “I want to go on a picnic now, but I don’t have a picnic basket,” we thought of that too. Although something from Amazon isn’t exactly local, we couldn’t resist how cute this picnic kit was.
