Filming for the Amazon show “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has taken over UNC’s campus and parts of downtown Chapel Hill. The show’s production + sightings of the cast are causing lots of local excitement.
Locals and students have caught glimpses of some scenes for the upcoming third season from East Franklin Street and nearby coffee shops.
Filming on UNC’s campus will last through today. Cameron Avenue will be closed for production 9 a.m.-11 p.m between Columbia + Raleigh streets.
