The City of Oaks and the Triangle are booming with races, large runs, and marathons in the coming months. We’ve put together a list of upcoming races with distances, and all of the information needed to be prepared.
Sizzling Soles Half-marathon | July 13 | Cary | Run alongside others for joy and to be active in a low-key race.
Relevate 5K | July 20 | Cary | Fundraise + run to further research and fuel the fight toward ending ovarian cancer.
Night Nation Run | Aug. 24 | Cary | Run, walk, and dance at NC’s only running music festival that will feature neon lights + live DJs in a 5K to stand up to cancer.
North Hills 5K | Sept. 7 | Raleigh | Support the Backpack Buddies organization and raise funds to provide weekend meals to children in food-insecure homes.
Sola Hot Mini 5K | Sept. 14 | Raleigh | Be a part of the 11th annual Sola race and support the search for the cure to ALS.
Gail Parkins Memorial 5K | Sept. 21| Durham | Walk or run for advancing ovarian cancer research at Duke University’s Medical Center.
RDC Marathon | Oct. 27 | Durham | Pick your own distance — marathon, half-marathon, 10K, or 5K — and have fun among other passionate runners. This race is a Boston Marathon qualifier and runs all through Durham.
City of Oaks Marathon | Nov. 3 | Raleigh | Move at your own pace + select your own distance while running at home with Raleigh’s most iconic marathon.
