🏈 Sweet news for the Wolfpack

NC State football is headed to the Pop-Tarts Bowl

Talk about a sweet ending. NC State will head to Orlando on Dec. 28 for the Pop-Tarts Bowl against Kansas State as the icing on top for the 2023 season — tickets are available now.

NC State finished its regular season with a 9-3 record, meaning this game could be the Pack’s 10th win of 2023 — the Wolfpack hasn’t had a 10-win season since 2002 with an 11-3 record.

This is the inagural Pop-Tarts Bowl, but the bowl has gone by other names in the past, including the Cheez-It Bowl, Camping World Bowl, and more.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl will feature the first-ever edible mascot, according to a press release from Kellogg’s. The winning team gets to take a bite (or a few) of the sweet treat — head coach Dave Doeren said he wants to enjoy his potential piece with a bourbon chaser.

When I say don’t miss Ira David Wood III as Scrooge this year, I mean it. This is his last time performing in “A Christmas Carol” after 50 years as Scrooge, and he is passing the role along to his son, Ira David Wood IV. The play will make its way to the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts and DPAC until Wood’s final performance on Dec. 17.
