Raleigh is home to vintage, thrift, antique, and consignment stores galore — from historic fashion to eclectic furniture, you’re sure to find a treasure or two. Here are a few of our favorite spots in the Triangle to revitalize your home and closet.
If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, try this thrift shop which specializes in houseware, furniture, toys + apparel with monthly sales to choose from. Run by volunteers, this shop supports the philanthropic efforts of the Triangle’s Assistance League chapter, which provides college scholarships and clothing to local elementary school students. Bonus: while you’re in the area, be sure to check out the North Hills sidewalk sale (Thurs., July 13-Sun., July 16) for other great buys.
This unique vintage store has funky fashion from every decade in a central downtown location. Make a private appointment to be treated to some bubbly and have this unique store all to yourself.
Cheshire Cat Antique Gallery is in a historic location with countless treasures.
Cheshire Cat is Raleigh’s oldest antiques and collectibles mall — based in the original underground location of a JCPenney. This store has unique finds like coins, ancient artifacts, Japanese kimonos, and signed pieces in addition to furniture and fashion. Check out this 20,000-square foot mall for literally everything you could need.
MODE, formerly Fifi’s, only accepts designer and brand-name merchandise for consignment. Keep an eye out for events like sidewalk sales and fashion shows. Take a peek at some high-end offerings on their website or visit their additional location in Durham.
TrunkShow is a curated antique and vintage mall with local wares.
Dress is a high-end resale boutique that sells designer resale, overstock, and consignment, as well as new clothing. Dress also offers a handbag concierge service to help you find the designer bag of your dreams. The store has won the Midtown Diamond Award for seven consecutive years.
TrunkShow is a multi-dealer artisan and vintage store with everything from furniture to apparel and homemade goods, all with an eclectic style. These quirky buys are all highly curated, and local art is also available for purchase.

The City of Raleigh is holding a Homeownership Information Fair on Saturday, July 15. Learn about homebuyer assistance programs, affordable homeownership programs in the area, and more from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carolina Pines Community Center.

This weekend is the next open nursery and garden days at Juniper Level Botanic Garden, coinciding with the first Agave Festival. Enjoy a variety of food trucks while marveling at the gardens, free of charge.

Wake County is creating new jobs for the expansion of Medicaid, with approved funding for 74 full-time Medicaid positions. Case worker, supervisor, and support staff positions will be posted on Wake County’s human resources website.
