Raleigh’s giant acorn has been on the move lately, but it seems like it is adjusting nicely at its new home in City Plaza.
The 1,250-pound copper and steel acorn was moved last Friday, May 5. “It was moved as an effort to revitalize City Plaza and to place it where it is visible to a wide array of visitors,” Raleigh Arts told RALtoday.
We can’t wait to Sip n’ Stroll right by this famous Raleigh nut.
One of my favorite purchases made in the City of Oaks is my “Then Play On” Fleetwood Mac vinyl from The Pour House Record Shop. I randomly popped in with my dad one day and we had the best time sifting through records and talking with a very knowledgeable bartender. They even gave me a record bag so I could scooter home with my new find. Thanks, Pour House.
