Bonus: Would you rather live in downtown or in North Raleigh? | Photo by RALtoday
When’s the last time you played a game of “Would You Rather,” Raleigh?
In case you’ve never played, here’s a quick rundown:
Step 1 — A question is posed that pitches two options. Example: “Would you rather live in Raleigh or any other city in the world?”
Step 2 — You decide what you’d rather do. No surprise here, we’re choosing the City of Oaks.
Now that you’re a “Would You Rather” expert, let’s tap into our inner middle schooler and play this nostalgic game featuring some of Raleigh’s most iconic landmarks, businesses, andlocally-celebrated dishes.
Q1: Would you rather dance the night away one last time at Neptune’s Parlor or order tapas on a sunny day on Garland’s sidewalk patio.
One last boogie underground.
I would do anything for a Garland slushie.
Q2: Would you rather take a morning stroll through the NC State Farmers Market or hike a few miles at Umstead State Park.
I’ll have my reusable bag in-hand.
I’m lacing up my hiking boots.
Q3: Would you rather shop your way through Fenton with a Dram & Draught drink in hand or take in rooftop views with a classy cocktail at Level7.
I’m taking my drink to-go.
I prefer my head in the clouds.
Now that you’ve gotten a sneak peek at three out of eight questions, tap the “submit your responses” button to record your answers and to view the full questionnaire.

DEVELOPMENT
Coming soon to North Hills 🏗️
North Hills development updates for 2024
Bites galore await at this elevated casual restaurant. | RALtoday
North Hills has experienced a dynamic transformation over the past year, making it an exciting hub for both Raleighites and visitors. With new businesses opening and more on the horizon, the development continues to evolve, and we’re excited, to say the least.
Open
In addition to new restaurants + shopping options, the development has added more residential and office spaces to its line up. Channel House, located in the North Hills Innovation District (NHID), features 200 units, ranging from studio to three bedroom apartments, and sits above vibrant retail spaces like Dose Yoga + Smoothie Bar.
Housed in the NHID district inside of Tower 5, HomeTurf, a premier exercise studio offers a range of cycling, strength, and hybrid classes.
The two office spaces, both located in the Main District, include 4114 Center at North Hills, a five-story building located above True Food Kitchen boasting 80,000+ sqft and One North Hills Tower, a 10-story office building fronting I-440 spanning 266,000 sqft. Both offer event rental spaces and are currently leasing.
Besides spaces made to live or work, there’s a bunch more to explore. If retail therapy is your jam, the options range from casual digs to formal fits. Retailers currently open include:
Once you’re done shopping or if you’re looking to grab a bite the options are versatile. Whether you have a sweet tooth, wanting a quick bite, or a more than casual dining experience here’s where to start:
Limani Grille, Main District | Under construction | Upscale, Mediterranean seafood restaurant
THE WRAP
Today’s issue was written by Cat.
Editor’s pick: When I ask my grandparents where they would like to eat for breakfast, the answer never changes. It’s always the Creedmoor Cafe. And I don’t mind at all because I love the homey atmosphere and the veggie omelette. Where’s your favorite place to grab an early morning bite? Let us know.
