Glenwood South, an area known for its nightlife, is getting a makeover — Blue Ridge Realty has unveiled its plans for a new 12-story mixed-use multi-tower, Triangle Business Journal reported.

The project, which will be located at the corner of Glenwood Ave. and Johnston St., calls for 2 adjoining towers — The Madison, an 11-story apartment tower and 603 Glenwood, a 12-story office tower. The Madison will feature ~200 apartments, a pool, and fitness center. The 603 Glenwood will feature 114,000 sqft of office space, a 5-story parking deck, and a restaurant on the top floor.

Bonus: The parking deck will also offer Raleighites public parking.

Plans also include a rooftop terrace, as well as more than 12,000 sqft of ground-floor retail. The project is slated to break ground next year, and is expected to take ~2 years for construction. It is unclear what will happen to current vendors on the site, Cornerstone Tavern and K Brow Parlor.
