Look up, look down, look all around — art is plastered all over the City of Oaks. If we told you exactly where these pops of color live, that would be no fun. Instead, we challenge you to a scavenger hunt to find 13 of our favorite Raleigh murals. Don’t worry, we’ll give you clues. 🔍

Downtown

  • The Mount Rapmore of the 2010s by Jeks One | Spot iconic rap legends beside a great place to grab a craft beer on tap + a local spot to tune up your bike for free.
  • Take Warning by Sean Kernick | Located before or after (depending on which way you’re coming from) a railroad crossing on N. Harrington St.
  • Abstracted Motion by Taylor White | This massive 40-by-60-ft. piece is painted on the side of a company building on Gale St.
  • Love Respect and Kindness by Joseph Giampino | A hidden gemdripping down a Raleigh embroidery company on the outskirts of the Warehouse District.
  • End Racism Now by volunteers at CAM Raleigh | Climb (take an elevator) up high in the Warehouse District to gaze upon this mural with a message.
  • Shaw University 150 Anniversary by Scott Nurkin | This mural is located under a bridge situated on Shaw University’s campus, near Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
  • All Are Welcome by Luke Buchanan | An iconic Raleigh mural painted on an Ashley Christensen “pie” restaurant.

Midtown

  • Kindness Is Cool by Jon Leonardo | This mural is situated in the Park District near three fitness hotspots.
  • You’re Stronger Than You Know by Sarah Tate | Beside this mural, you can get your wine fix + super soft bamboo sheets.
  • #WhatLiftsYou by Kelsey Montague |These wings live outside of the only place you can get “burgushi” (burger + sushi fusion) in Raleigh.

Five Points

  • Wish You Were Here by Joseph Giampino | This mural is painted on the side of the oldest movie theater in Raleigh.
  • Sir Walter Raleigh by Matt Mahler | This piece is displayed on the side of what was once a Piggly Wiggly-turned-eatery.
