It’s time to get your tickets for this year’s Hops for Hope event, where 31 local breweries will be introducing new brews to benefit the nonprofit, Children’s Flight of Hope.

The event, happening Sat., Sept. 25 from 2-6 p.m. at the Coastal Credit Union Midtown Park in North Hills, pairs corporate teams with breweries to create a special beer for the festival. The teams are then judged by attendees and judges for a chance to win awards — like Best Beer Name and People’s Choice Award.

Tickets are on sale now for the family-friendly event — and the beer tasting isn’t the only thing going on. There will also be live music, games, food + vendors, like Raleigh-based Good Boy Dog Treats, who sells handmade dog treats using leftover grain from NC breweries.

The 31 brewery + corporate partner team names have already been released, and there are some real contenders for the Best Team Name award. Check some of them out:

🍺Captrust + Bond Brothers — “The Roth IPAs

🍺Adwerx + Durty Bull — “Malt-iple Revenue Streams

🍺Cisco + Oaklyn Springs — “Hop Blooded

You can show support now for your favorite teams names by donating through their link — see the full list here.

The money donated goes to Children’s Flight of Hope, a NC-based nonprofit that provides free air transportation for children in need of medical attention. The organization was founded in 1991 + now serves children’s hospitals across the US, ensuring that patients have access to life-saving treatments, regardless of the cost.

In 2019, over $175,000 was raised for the mission, and the organization is looking to surpass that amount with this year’s event.
