See these Grammy Award winners perform live locally

Award-winning artists like Lizzo and Sam Smith are coming to Raleigh.

We can’t help but be a little starstruck. The 65th Annual Grammy Awards were last Sunday and multiple winners are bringing their talents to the Raleigh area.

Alphabet Rockers, a children’s hip-hop music collective, won Best Children’s Music Album for “The Movement.” They’re performing at NC State this Wednesday, Feb. 8 as part of the university’s Kidstuff Series.

Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile took home three awards. Her song “Broken Horses” won Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, and her LP “In These Silent Days” won Best Americana Album. See her live at DPAC on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Although Taylor Swift isn’t bring The Eras Tour to Raleigh, we can still celebrate her winning Best Music Video for “All Too Well: The Short Film.” Don’t miss The Taylor Party at The Ritz on Friday, April 7. You can also see one of her Grammy gowns at The Power of Women in Country Music exhibit, now through Sunday, Feb. 26 at the NC Museum of History.

Singer, rapper, and flutist Lizzo won Record of the Year for her song About Damn Time.” The track also won Best Remixed Recording for the Purple Disco Machine Remix. See her perform it live during The Special 2our at PNC Arena on Wednesday, May 10.

Vocal powerhouse Sam Smith won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Unholy” with Kim Petras — the first transgender woman to win the award. Sam is bringing Gloria the tour to PNC Arena on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
