Raleigh lawmakers have approved a bill that will allow the sale of to-go and delivery cocktails as part of a broader alcohol bill. During the pandemic, the temporary exception of to-go and delivery cocktails was allowed in hopes that restaurants and bars could offset loss of sales due to quarantine.

Presently, the drafted bill outlines that to-go drinks must be sealed, sold with food, and cannot exceed 24 fluid ounces. Before locals could see this come into effect, the bill must head to the desk of Gov. Roy Cooper for official approval — the governor has been supportive of takeout cocktails in the past.

Imagine being able to get your cocktails to go after dinner at La Terrazza or delivery from Watts & Ward.
