Before Tamasha opened in early 2024, we spoke with executive chef Bhavin Chhatwani who emphasized the importance of spices, — and not just for the food. Bar Manager Sammie Wilford has incorporated unique spice blends into every drink, and we got our hands on the perfect cocktail recipe for warming up this fall.

How ‘Bout Them Apples?

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz apple brandy
  • 2 oz spiced apple cider
  • 2 oz white wine (Tamasha uses Verdicchio)
  • Garnish: Apples, dried orange slice, cinnamon, rosemary sprig

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and whip shake for 10 seconds.
  2. Strain into glass over fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with apples, a dried orange slice, cinnamon, and a rosemary sprig.

Pro tip: Any spiced apple cider will do, but if you want to do like the pros, juice high-quality apples and combine with toasted spices and herbs, including rosemary, cinnamon, clove, star anise, vanilla bean, and nutmeg, and simmer for up to six hours.
