Start your engines. According to Triangle Food Blog , Mac’s Speed Shop is coming to Raleigh’s Five Points neighborhood. The Charlotte-based restaurant chain will open in place of the recently closed Lonerider Brewing .

Mac’s promises beer, bikes, and award-winning barbecue. The 1626 Glenwood Ave. location will be its first in the Triangle and 10th overall with the closest restaurant being in Fayetteville.

This smokin’ hot chain doesn’t have an opening date, but get acquainted with them online or check out one of their other NC locations.

As for Lonerider, the brewery will continue operating in its two local hideouts.
