This year, we are hosting Drink Up for the entire month of July. What is Drink Up? It’s a celebration of beverages and beverage-makers in Raleigh and we’re hoping to get the whole community involved.

During July, in our daily newsletter and across our social media platforms, we’ll be featuring content like profiles of beverage entrepreneurs, the history of the industry here, and the best places in town to sip on lattes, cocktails, and more.

The idea is to raise a toast to the talented people in our community and introduce our readers to new faces and places around the City of Oaks.

Here’s where you come in:

We want to engage with local businesses interested in participating in our Drink Up initiative. It’s simple: Let us know how you’d like to engage — whether it’s an event, a drink, a special, or something else.

Here is some inspo from last year’s inaugural Drink Up:

  • Vault Craft Beer featured only NC brews for a week.
  • Mandolin’s Bar Manager Kaylah Saffro concocted an exclusive cocktail, the “Knock Knock.”
  • Vita Vite hosted a Drink Up “Happy Hour” featuring two wine specials.
  • Sir Walter Coffee featured the Pimms Cup, a cocktail fit for Sir Walter himself.

We’re looking for all local drink-related pitches to possibly feature as part of Drink Up month. That’s it. No strings attached.

Please let us know if you or your business would like to participate by Friday, June 16 (ideas do not have to be finalized). We can’t wait to #DrinkUpRaleigh.
