Starbucks and Dunkin’ are already slinging their famed pumpkin spice lattes — that must mean fall is officially here, right? Not quite. The first day of fall is Wed., Sept. 22, but we know there’s no harm in getting an early start.

Whether pumpkin spice syrup runs in your veins, or you’re just looking for a new flavor to spice up your morning routine, check out this list of where to get your fall drink fix — locally.

  • Idle Hour Coffee: 1818 Oberlin Rd. — Idle Hour currently has maple ginger drinks available +other seasonal drinks may be coming soon depending on baristas.
  • Purr Cup Cafe: 210 Prospect Ave. — The cafe (that doubles as a cat adoption center) told RALtoday that their pumpkin syrup should be delivered and ready for your drinks starting today.
  • Sir Walter Coffee: 145 E. Davie St. — The Downtown shop told RALtoday that the fall menu is currently being drafted, though no date is set at this time.
  • The Third Place Coffee Shop: 1811 Glenwood Ave. — Pumpkin spice syrup is available now at The Third Place to be added into drinks + a specialty fall drink may come later.
  • Jubala Coffee: 2100 Hillsborough St. + 8450 Honeycutt Rd. — In about 2 weeks, Jubala will begin offering their fall menu, including drinks like a pumpkin spice latte, a campfire mocha, and a sparkling apple cider.
  • Sola Coffee Cafe: 7705 Lead Mine Rd. — In mid-to-late September, Sola will switch to their fall menu, offering pumpkin drinks, hot apple cider + cinnamon plum cider, as well as seasonal food.
  • Global Village Organic Coffee: 2428 Hillsborough St. — Global Village considers themselves “traditionalists” and waits to put out their fall flavors until after Labor Day, so you can expect pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin white mochas + maple cinnamon lattes starting Tues., Sept. 7.
  • Benelux Coffee: 402 Oberlin Rd. — Autumn drinks, like pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice chai lattes, and hot apple ciders are available now at Benelux.
  • Joe Van Gogh: Cedar West location, 3109 Poplarwood Ct. — Local roastery Joe Van Gogh will bring back its pumpkin latte starting on Mon., Sept. 6.
  • The Optimist Raleigh: 1000 Brookside Dr. — The Optimist brought back their fall drinks on Wed., Sept. 1, including a Witching hour Latte, an Apple Bottom Beans cold brew, and An Apple A Day honey + rosemary apple cider.
  • Black and White Coffee: Videri Chocolate Factory location, 327 W. Davie St. — The Downtown location of the specialty roastery will feature a spiced fig drink + their version of “a dark and stormy.”
  • BREW Coffee Bar: McNeill Pointe, 2310 Bale St. — Brew is waiting for fall to officially start to release their autumn drinks, but will then be serving a cardamom flavor, a maple brown sugar cortado, and both hot apple cider + cold sparkling apple cider.
