One of Raleigh’s most distinct buildings will soon become the tallest. Glenwood Avenue is being primed for a 37-story development and The Creamery, a designated historic landmark, will stand as the cornerstone.

When the development is complete, it will be among the tallest in NC and top PNC Plaza’s 538-ft height and 32 stories. The first phase is set to begin construction this year.

What else to expect:

For some background, The Creamery was built in 1928 and was home to the dairy farmers cooperative called Pine State Creamery — it was marked as a historic landmark in 1997. The building is now home to Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Milk Bar, and Pine State Public House.
