This weekend, PBS Star and chef Vivian Howard is dropping off two more smart refrigerators in the City of Oaks. Viv’s Fridge is stocked with appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts, and gifts. Look for dishes like tomato pie in a pocket, cheeseburger hand pie, chicken & rosemary root pot pie, and more.

These restaurant-quality items are ready-to-eat or ready-to-heat. The first one — which opened in December — is located at 211 E. Franklin St., Raleigh outside of Wine Authorities.

Two more fridges are being installed this weekend at:

  • Taylor’s Wine Shop, 10005 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh
  • North Hills, at Park Central in the breezeway near Vita Vite (200 Park at North Hills, Ste. #130)

Meet the chef: To celebrate these new installations, Chef Vivian is hosting a tasting event today, Jan. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wine Authorities in Durham at 2501 University Dr.
