Three new businesses are new or coming soon to Hillsborough Street’s diverse retail lineup. Here’s the scoop:

Stonewalls Tavern , 1217 Hillsborough St. | After The Green Monkey moved out of its Hillsborough Street location, Stonewalls Tavern, a new nightlife concept, took over the space and opened yesterday. The bar serves cocktails, beer, and wine with ample seating and a lounge area.
Gussie’s , 927 W. Morgan St. | OK, while this location is not technically on Hillsborough Street, it is located only a few blocks over. The shuttered space that housed Soul Taco is being replaced with a new concept from North South Hospitality called Gussie’s. Though the website doesn’t offer much information, this biz is currently under construction.
Wake-N-Bakery , 1213 Hillsborough St. | This TikTok famous cannabis cafe and bakery will offer legal hemp-derived THC cannabis products like hemp delta-9 THC coffees, teas, and lemonades, as well as delta-9 hemp THC chocolates, and gummies. An opening date has not yet been released, but the cafe is hiring .
