Chewy or bready, toasted or as-is, schmeared or un-schmeared. There’s a lot of choices when it comes to bagels, but luckily, Raleigh + our neighbors have plenty of options for you to find your perfect match. Here’s where to get your new favorite bagels in the Triangle.
Benchwarmers, 500 E. Davie St. + 1015 S. Saunders St. | With specialty toppings like duck rillette and roe next to classics like fried bologna and bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwiches, there’s a little something for everyone. Plus, there’s another new location coming to the North Hills Innovation District.
Big Dom’s Bagels, 203 E. Chatham St., Cary | Pro tip: Get to this Cary hotspot early on the weekends before this hole-in-the-wall sells out. Don’t forget the B’donut for your sweet tooth.
Brandwein’s Bagels, 505 W. Rosemary St., Chapel Hill | These New York-style bagels are made with locally milled flour and served with cream cheeses like jalapeno, funfetti, and nova salmon.
FQWL Bagels, pop-up, multiple locations | FQWL, AKA From Queens With Love, pops up at VPizza and Veloce Italian Market with NYC-boiled and Raleigh-baked bagels for a real taste of NYC.
H&H Bagels, 239 S. Estes Dr., Ste. 101, Chapel Hill | OK, Carrie Bradshaw. This NYC icon is now open in NC serving chewy bagels that will make you feel like you’re in the Big Apple.
Isaac’s Bagels, 1003 W. Chapel Hill St., Durham | This newer brick-and-mortar bagel shop is takeout only, and we recommend the vegan deluxe sandwich and the intricate rosettes.
Jeff’s Bagel Run, 12534 Capital Blvd., Wake Forest | This bagel spot is all about fun, with cacio e pepe bagels, cannoli cream cheese, and tasty iced coffees. Plus, a location is coming to Raleigh near Wong’s Tacos soon.
New York Bagels and Deli, multiple locations | Locals — especially those hailing from New York — have strong opinions on which location is best, but everyone can agree on the fresh cream cheese and same-day bagels.
