YMCA Sports Camps | Ages 6+

Summer Garden Camp | Ages 4+
This camp through JC Raulston Arboretum offers the chance to learn, create, and explore nature through hands-on activities in the garden through several week-long camps ranging from Nature Detectives to Backyard Farm.

Piedmont Wildlife Center | Ages 5+
Join Piedmont Wildlife Center at its award-winning outdoor camps in William B. Umstead State Park. Explore local parks, play forest games, go creek crawling, and meet native NC wildlife.

For the scientists + tech enthusiasts

Mad Science | Ages 5+
Experience hands-on adventures like surviving on a “deserted island,” building rockets, exploring space, and creating cool inventions like catapults and trebuchets. Kids work together on fun science experiments and challenges that spark creativity and problem-solving.

Code Your Own Adventure | Ages 12+

Overnight camps

Camp Kanata | Ages 6+
Campers ages 6-15 can participate in a week of experiences ~40 minutes from downtown on 150 acres, from canoeing to challenges like the Alpine Tower.

Camp Clearwater | Ages 6+
Made for rising grades first through eighth, this camp is set on Clearwater Lake and is ~45 minutes from Raleigh, where campers engage in outdoor activities like canoeing, archery, and crafts.
