There’s nothing like college basketball in the Triangle, and NC State is ready to take local ball to new heights with fresh faces and returning faves. Here’s what you need to know before you step foot in Reynolds Coliseum + Lenovo Center this season.

Men’s basketball

After wrapping up the regular season with no postseason in sight, NC State fired former head coach Kevin Keatts and picked up McNeese State’s Will Wade to lead the Pack, ushering in a new era for men’s basketball in Raleigh.

Wade spent some serious time on the 2025-2026 roster with 13 newcomers, including nine transfers. With a nail-biting exhibition win under its belt over South Carolina and nearly enough votes to join the AP Top 25, expectations are high for Wade’s Pack.

Women’s basketball

The Wolfpack women went out swinging with a Sweet Sixteen loss against LSU last year, and they’re coming back for more. Guard Zoe Brooks and forward Khamil Pierre are expected to lead the Pack this year, and both were named to the All-ACC Preseason Team.

The AP ranked NC State at No. 9, the same preseason ranking as 2024-2025, and the Pack has already secured its first ranked win over No. 10 Maryland in a preseason matchup. Tonight, the Wolfpack takes on No. 8 Tennessee in the Ro Greensboro Invitation at First Horizon Coliseum, and plenty of tickets remain for as low as $25. Check out the women’s schedule to grab tickets for Reynolds Coliseum, too.
