The Origin Hotel opens with new restaurant in Raleigh

The dining room at Good Day Good Night

If you’ve been paying attention to the construction around One Glenwood, at the corner of Morgan Street downtown, then you already know the new Origin Hotel is nearing completion. We had the chance to get a sneak peak at the progress last week — and Raleigh, we’re excited.

Guest room at the Origin Hotel

One of the highlights of the Origin is the Good Day Good Night restaurant, which promises to serve Raleigh residents as well as hotel guests. (Plus, you know you need a good rec for when your in-laws come to town.)

Here’s what to expect:

🛏️ 126 rooms, with serious attention to detail and natural NC-inspired color schemes
🛁 subway tile in the bathrooms + eco-conscious amenities
🍃 personal touches, including special Sir Walter Raleigh do not disturb tags (pictured above)
🚲 a bike rental program
🚗 24/7 valet parking
🏋️ fitness center
💌 local stationery and gifts in the lobby from DECO

And from the restaurant (which has a separate street entrance for us locals):

Good Day Good Night restaurant

🌿 plant-forward menu
☕ breakfast-to-go Monday through Friday + brunch on weekends
🍽️ full lunch and dinner every day
🍺 six craft beers on tap and ~8 specialty wines
🍸 very cool concept cocktails program

The property also offers approximately 800 square feet of meeting and reception space, which can accommodate up to 50 people. The target opening for the hotel and restaurant is mid-late March, so stay tuned: we’ll let you know as soon as we get word. Ready to book? Rooms are available on the hotel website beginning April 1.
