October 2021 is NC Beer Month

Gov. Roy Cooper has signed a proclamation officially designating October 2021 as NC Beer Month.

Beginning with the state’s first brewery in 1986 (Weeping Radish, now located in Grandy), NC’s independent craft beer industry has grown to over 300 breweries. Known as “The State of Southern Beer,” NC ranks among the nation’s top 10 craft beer states and NC’s craft beer industry contributes more than $2.7 billion to the state’s economy — supporting 18,000+ jobs.

Ready to celebrate? As beer lovers explore local breweries + honor this hoppy month, they also have the opportunity to participate in the NC Beer Month Passport Sweepstakes — and 2 lucky winners will be selected to win a rad prize.
