The 2025 North Carolina State Fair is in full swing. Before you head down for eats, rides, games, live music, and animal showcases, it’s always worth reflecting on the past. Local photographer Avery Danziger captured many fair moments from yesteryear which help paint a poignant, nostalgic picture.

To see things that go bump in the night — and hopefully, not on the flight — a last-minute visit to Raleigh-Durham International Airport is the place to start. (CNN)
This year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year winners are in. And they’re spectacular. Countless species spanning six continents are all featured in the stunning photos, now on display at the Natural History Museum in London.
