Midtown will get its first cocktail bar this fall, and it’s coming from someone who knows a thing or two about local hospitality. Capulet Cocktail Club is the creation of local artist, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Patrick Shanahan, who you might recognize from Peregrine and Watts & Ward.
The new cocktail bar will open at The Exchange‘s interior courtyard in midtown, right near WRK by The Optimist and Shanahan’s Peregrine. Capulet Cocktail Club is named after Shakespeare’s tragic Juliet and will use her + Italian films as its muse. Expect a indoor Roman-inspired sanctuary with a 32-foot dome and an outdoor garden bar reminiscent of Italian courtyards and piazzas.
“Italy has always been at the forefront of fashion, art, and cinema, influencing culture worldwide,” Shanahan said. “At Capulet Cocktail Club, we’re creating a space to experience that same sense of la dolce vita.” We’re already dreaming of a visit.
